We stumbled on this “raw” condo space during a summer visit to Portland and imagined a whole new life for ourselves! 6 months later, we had moved 1,000 miles into our new home, a spacious, light-filled penthouse in Portland’s burgeoning Pearl district. I designed the apartment to feel more like a conventional house, with defined rooms, rather than the open, undefined space popular with condos, the so called “loft” style. The light made all the difference for us adjusting to the Portland winters!
